So I'm not just talking to myself, I will write it here...

Women Are The Way Of The Future

The time is now and it is not not just because of #metoo or #timesup but it is a pivotal time in our making of history.  Like the suffragettes of our past, we are leading a monumental change that they helped pioneer.

We are changing, we are embracing the change, and we are using change to improve lives and sustainability.
I believe growing up there was a subconscious or subtlety about the competition between girls that was expected to transpire into adulthood.  This push, pull, and do what it takes to get a head and be the best drove a one way, self-seeking ambition.

Men have their “boys club” mentality in adulthood that support each other despite that competitive nature and women seemed to lack that until now.

Women have learned the value of this support and are now using it drive change and success in individuals and communities.  Women are founding and leading companies that openly support other business with female executives.  Work environments are being created to fit the needs and flexibility of women to work in solitude, in collaboration, and in a community.

Women are no longer pushing each other to get ahead...we are reaching our hands out to help raise each other in a society that is still not gender equal.

Recently I went out to dinner with three lovely ladies.  Our friendship formed back during our middle school days.  We stayed friends in high school but found our different niches during those years.  We went to college before facebook and didn’t speak much during our college years.  Then caught up with each other virtually throughout the years since.  After almost 20 years, we finally managed to all meet for dinner and while we did the whole, here’s what I’ve been up to in the last fifteen years summed up in about 8 minutes...we revelled in the strength, resilience, and unique characteristics that we bring to inspire others.  What we often just accept in our daily lives and see little significance in, others can view as true demonstration of the power we as women inherently possess.

So yes, our economy will grow, despite who our president is but because women are now becoming a driving force.  No longer limited to certain fields, smaller paychecks, or home kitchens.  We are founding our own companies where men have excluded us and we are supporting other women to grow our successes.

This goes beyond politics, even though we are also seeing a shift in gender in our political forum.  This is about becoming the free society that we seem to think currently exists, while in reality it truly only exists for a select few.
