We gotta eat!

Overnight Oats

7/1/2016

I've never been one to eat the same thing two days in a row.  I have to get creative with leftovers.  Yet, I have eaten these oats three days in a row!  Love them, and its even more awesome to just grab it out of the fridge and go in the morning since I'm usually running late.

I know there has been contention with whether or not oatmeal is gluten free, and as long its labeled so I'm going to go with it.  We haven't seen any adverse reactions in our house so we're good for now.

This really is a perfect recipe for a mason jar.  And it is one of the easiest recipes to do.  You really don't even need to measure it out, just dump things into the mason jar.

6 ingredients.  That's all.
  1. 1/2 cup of gluten free oats
  2. 2 tbs chia seeds
  3. 1 tbs of PB2 powder (heaping tbs - don't have to level that out)
  4. 1 tbs honey (or agave syrup)
  5. 1/4 tsp vanilla extract (could up that to 1/2 tsp or eliminate if using flavored milk)
  6. 1 1/2 cups almond milk
Add all ingredients to a mason jar. And shake it like Taylor Swift.  Put in your fridge.  Maybe give it another shake before you go to bed.  And shake before eating in the morning.

Enjoy.

If your trying to break the habit of eating lunch at your desk, then I don't recommend taking to work with you.
