Refreshing Kale Smoothie

This is such an easy kale smoothie.  It tastes so good and refreshing yet it can also be very filling with all that kale.  Perfect for between meals, or after a light workout, or out the door for errands.  Super easy to make with only a few ingredients.

​I have started to keep kale read to use in the fridge.  Sunday I'll shop and then come home and prep.  Kale is easy; I separate from stems, rip or cut into small pieces, wash, and then store in an airtight container with damp paper towels.  Ready to throw into all kinds of recipes including this one.

Don't be shy with adding the kale, I don't think you can really have too much.  Add the kale in the blender with some unsweetened vanilla almond milk (I really like Trader Joe's).  You will start with just those two ingredients and puree until smooth and a nice bright, frothy green.

​After you have your green base, add some frozen mango and frozen pineapple, and a little bit of agave syrup.  Throw in some ice and blend and crush until your desired consistency and large pieces are broken down.
